Goldfinch

Another dull but necessary day in the office today - but there's only so much of that I can take - so I was up early with a plan to really crack on & free up some time to hit the hills tomorrow.
Everywhere around the village has sprung to life - no ducklings yet - but it can't be long now till they appear. Thrushes, skylarks, duelling blackbirds - but today's star of the show was this beautiful little fellow. For once he was on his own instead of in the usual gang - hopefully he found his mates later!
