Bedding material

Doing a bit of gardening and found an old Blackbird's nest in some bushes that were cut down at the end of last year.  Out of curiosity I had a look to see what it was made of.  These tiny leaf skeletons formed one of the layers - actual size about 1cm wide.  Today's Blip - gardening.  The photo was taken on a flatbed scanner - digital image - rather than a camera - digital image.  Is this in the rules I wonder?
