a new pew

This took a bit of effort to get in place. This concrete table by a very talented young designer, Joel Broad, had been sitting outside our buildings at the polytechnic, on display for a couple of years. It got stolen last year, and has been driven into by a few cars lately so we decided the time had come to move it out of harms way. Since Joel had given it to me when he left I got to decide what to do with it, which is pop it in our back yard in just the right place to provide a view down the harbour.

It weighs about 250-300 kilos so a bit of cunning was required to get it up here, including weaving our van through the plantings and then a bit of winch action.
