I have created a MONSTER!!!
My endevour to make some rhubarb and custard chelsea buns took turn for the worse - upon rollong up the dough and filling it became clear that there was no way it would survive being sliced into chelsea bun sized chunks, so decided to bake the whole lot as it was, in a swiss roll/strudel type affair. After it's final prove it was already taking on a life of it's own, and upon gaining it's oven spring it basically filled my biggest roasting tin! Not sure if it's cooked in the middle but it's had a hot bake and then, covered in foil, some time at gas mk 2 or 3, can't cook it any longer, we'll just have to see (if it doesn't rise up and take over before we get a chance).
