Sunflower Series # 10

As you would expect, Sebastian and I went to the Red Barn today.  I took lots of photos of him feeding the animals, but he never stayed still long enough to get any keepers.

While outside this afternoon with my builder, discussing the fencing he is going to do for me, I spotted this sunflower head on the ground.  The birds are having a wonderful time feeding on them all.

Which is great - I've been wanting to pull them out as they get so ugly when they're in their death throes, but they actually need to be dead before the seeds are properly ripe for the birds.  A personal struggle - birds or aesthetics?  

The birds win every time!
