a froth of green budding foliage framed the roads as we travelled the flat lands of Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk. After pit stop at the family home we travelled on to see the patient. Pleased to see us, we chatted  until Em needed to stretch her legs, her lungs and her voice. We went in search of the fabled giant Leaves, finding them, a tap dance troupe from the Theatre Royal and an exhibition of illustrations by John Shelley. Enjoying our drinks on a sunny bench in the garden we didn't feel like we were at a hospital at all.
