Tear Bottles in Chichester Cathedral

There are a thousand 'Tear Bottles' in Chichester Cathedral. Deborah Tompsett has made them all from fist-sized lumps representing different individual hearts. Apparently Victorians collected caught their years in bottles like these. This is a selection from the St Mary Magdalene Chapel.
