#Lent with @CAFOD: Good Friday

Just realised I took this photo on Friday morning as opposed to Thursday evening...

Daffodils always remind me of the verse that states that unless a seed falls into the ground and dies, it cannot be born again. (Or something like that, I'm speaking from memory.) Someone once described heaven and our resurrection bodies as being like daffodils. We are like daffodil bulbs; once the bulb has been buried, a beautiful transformed daffodil grows in its place. It's the same thing, a daffodil, the same essence, but something more beautiful - and, perhaps the fulfillment of a daffodil bulb.

So perhaps daffodils are appropriate for Good Friday.
