A trip to the Highland Wildlife Park today - it was a lovely day, but the animals seemed conspicuous by their absence.  But maybe I am just being picky, the animals we did see were pretty impressive.  It was a close run thing between the red pandas and the tigers, the red pandas were unspeakably cute, but the tigers were just awesome.  When the three males bounded out to ravage the meat hung up for them, I swear you could feel the ground shake.  It was nice to see the ex Edinburgh Zoo polar bear having a little more scope, including a female companion, but they both looked like they could have done with a soak in Vanish - I guess that comes with living in mud rather than snow.
