Scallastle River Trail
We started our day with a trip to Duart Castle - the home of the Maclean clan (my middle name is Maclean, so I assume I must be family of some sort!?). Particular highlights for me where the old clothes they had, still in immaculate condition and the photographs of the family from around 100 years ago.
We had our pack lunch there, looking out to sea before driving down the road to the Scallastle River Trail. Was fairly hard going as it was mostly uphill, but it was so worth it as there were some beautiful waterfalls and views over the Scallastle River. It really warmed up this afternoon and my face is tinged pink from the sun!
