I have allowed myself
to rest so sweetly, softly, deeply.
No need to do more than
crawl into delicate folds
and let them curve around me, hold me
close to the heart of the day.

Only the light could reach me...
Only the heart could teach me
quietude and ease while singing
only the simplest rhythms.
Only the heart could know my need.
