Up. Up and away....
What an absolutely lovely day it has been. Mr C, Rebecca, Mo and I decided to go into London. We first got the cable car across the Thames from the Royal Victoria Docks to the O2 arena. It only takes about 10 minutes to cross but well worth doing to see the view. We stopped and had a coffee when we got off before deciding to take the river bus down to embankment. We sat outside at the back of the boat but we were near the noisy, smelly engine and the river was slightly choppy so it wasn't the most pleasant of sailings although we passed some fantastic landmarks.
Once back on terra firma, we met up with Josh and Natalie in Leicester Square and went off the Chinatown for a Chinese. We ate as much as we possibly could before rolling out of the restaurant and walking it off. Back to Trafalgar Square, past horse guards parade and Downing Street, past the Houses of Parliament, over Westminster Bridge and another coffee stop before getting the train home.
Like the book benches, Paddington Bears and London Buses trails, there is currently Shaun the Sheep trails and we spotted 3 of them on our walk.
We also missed a spectacular sunset over London as we just got on the train as the sky changed to amazing pinks, oranges and purples .
A wonderful day and I'm very much ready for my bed (as I had another rubbish night sleep!!!).
