Awaiting Execution

These veterans of a time long gone have served their purpose.
Broken ,crumbling,and empty save for trash ,a gift from squatters, now stand with glazed and bleary eyes looking on the city they once were a proud part of .All around spring dwellings full of  shiny chrome and brittle fittings. 
As for the oldies , I'd love to hear their stories before the 'real estate' executioner condemns -
                                   Their Sentence - DEMOLITION 
 Walls do hold memories and if only we could hear them talk
