Old Amersham

Food is the theme of our visit south.  We met C&N for breakfast in Old Amersham.  It was the hotel used in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'.  C&N didn't seem impressed by this as they hadn't seen it.  Still, a delicious breakfast was consumed by all.  N reminded us that it is only 6 weeks to their wedding.

From here we walked around the old town and it brought back many memories as this is where I had lived for around 20 years and brought my boys up.

From here we went to see Dad and took him out for lunch.  He was in quite good form in spite of the fact that one of his cats had recently passed away.  

He feels he needs to move somewhere requiring less work.  This is progress.  He has been resisting up until now.  It will be a huge task to help him prepare to move him but let's hope that we can find somewhere suitable - he is not sure what or where  yet.
