An overnight at Dunstan hospital (after a wee cyclist versus tree incident) was needed. It was a bumpy ride in the ambulance, but next to me was a teenager who had broken her back for a second time so I felt pretty lucky. I had plenty of morphine in my system too...

Today I went home - another couple of hours in a slightly less bumpy vehicle, with the great company of Dr Lizi and Craig. We stopped for icecreams in Lawrence and generally took our time.

The stay in Dunstan hospital was the best I have ever had in any. I think it was helped by the fact that Dr Lizi had just spent a few weeks working there and that the staff were all happy to meet her hubby. I also had my own room, very nice.
