Confederate General gives me evil eye

Only 1 battle took place in Florida during our Civil War. However, there are about 15 re-enactments taking place every year. Back then, as now, Florida is a very big cattle state and Florida provided the Confederates most of their beef during the war.
I think this Confederate General somehow knew that I was born in New York and not from the South,  but he was sure giving me the evil eye
