Not yet Spring

Bright but unseasonably cold - and in Staverton thicks today there are no leaves on the  ancient trees - still 'bare ruin'd choirs', though there are plenty of little  songbirds singing on them. 

And even a  barn owl lugubriously flapping away from them.

But no leaves.
