"Does anyone want a Leek?"

Well THIS isn't one.
MANYmany moons ago a Scouter, nicknamed "Solomon" used to take an advance guard to set up camp before the masses arrived by train. He had a variety of vans time we knew him, equipped for dossing down if the trip was a bit long. From time to time he's pause by the roadside and ask:-
"Does anyone want to leek?"
While we were at Lowther Castle, and during the up-chatting of OiC "Plants with altitude" we found out why our Iris Bucharica has, probably, failed - twice now.
He suggested this as avery similar, but hardier, replacement.
