Flying High #2

Enjoyed by others today.

All of us who stayed at the Gliding Club last night were treated to a delicious evening meal, much talk of the good flying day .........  and a late night in the bar!!

We were awoken this morning by a loud and earnest dawn chorus and after the mist and fog had burned off in the valley a beautiful day ensued.  Not a particularly good gliding day but a very gorgeous bright blue Spring day.  We spent a leisurely morning sitting in the sun chatting with friends and then drove on down to South Shropshire and spent the afternoon with more friends where we had tea in the garden and much more chat.

On the way home we saw three hot air balloons;  We chased this one for a little way and just as I had leapt out of the car to watch the landing there was a huge blast from the burner and it rapidly gained height again.

It's been a lovely Easter weekend - back to the grindstone tomorrow!
