The Tyne Kittiwakes.

A dreary but lovely day in Newcastle. Abit of shopping followed by a walk along the quayside and dinner at Jamie Oliver's.

These guys are part the Tyne kittiwake colony. I think they are the largest inland colony in the Uk..gorgeous birds, despite the noise. And it's so nice to see us actually doing something to help them along by designating 'kittiwake towers'.
