Beauty and the beast

I got more than I bargained for when getting down for a closeup of this daffodil and was confronted with this beastie.  I left it well alone.

Another glorious day, weatherwise, although not as warm as yesterday.
We got lots of work done outside and even managed to dislodge the bogged down ride-on-mower with a bit of brute force.  All veggie beds are now ready for seed sowing, although I shall not be growing as much this year as previously.  I am getting a bit past it now - physically, that is. I shall sow flower seeds in any unused veg beds, which will be low maintenence.
