or the common misnomer: the century plant. it really only lives about 10-30 yrs.

however, it does make the most unique flowering display at the end of its life.
what a way to go out.

it was a quick trip to tucson per usual. but it was so much fun to see my family and catch up. i am meeting B at the airport this evening. my flight actually gets in about 30 mins before his, so i get to "meet & greet" him at the gate.
