The holidays can begin!

Our lovely friends arrived last night to spend Easter weekend with us. We are so ready for a break as it seems to have been a long term! Good Friday is a normal school day for us and with all the excitement I forgot to take a photo!

We had a relaxed morning and then headed to the town of Halle for a wonder before dropping our friends off at the Butte du Lion to do the tourist thing. 

In the evening we all walked into town to one of favourite Italian restaurants where our friends treated us to a lovely meal. The kids all got on so well and we were mighty impressed with our two for the way they played and looked after their little pal. Dex even sat next to J in the restaurant and peeled some stickers off the sheet and then passed them to J to stick in his book. This was more impressive as we hadn't asked him to do this, he just instinctually did it for him. The walk home was a little slower as J is obsessed with the Humpty Dumpty song and every small wall he comes to he has to re-enact the song - it was hilarious!
