j'adore Paris

You know that feeling of waking up early to go on holiday and you're all excited..?! Well that happened today x4. Our train left Manchester at 7.30 and we finally got into Paris, via the Eurostar, at around 3pm. The apartment we stayed in was typically modern, cosy and Parisian. I wanted to move in. We then meandered around a few Parisian streets, in a few 'antique' shops and finally on the Metro to the see the Eiffel Tower. Lots of interest and questions were asked, and it was great to see there enthusiasm. The early start took it's toll on Gracie and the 1hr queue to go up the Tower she decided to sleep in my arms...! Thankfully it did wonders for her energy and they all climbed up the 6oo-odd steps to the 2nd level and enjoy the view!

Once it got dark and we enjoyed watching the lights and the hustle and bustle of the area, we strolled up to see the Arc de Triomphe, then caught the Metro to Monmarte to eat some typically fine French cuisine and finally stroll home to bed. Marley had been craving a croque madame and her wishes came true!

A lovely day out in Paris. Only my 2nd time here, and the kids first. I hope they, like me, want to come and see more of this beautiful city. Early start in morning...
