EGRET ON THE HUNT....

... for some tucker!!!
Went for a quick walk to the mighty Nepean River late morning before another massive storm hit. We really have a changeable weather pattern at present.

Anyway, there was quite a bit of action and took a heap of shots, but in the end liked this one of the egret stalking in a river backwater for some tucker. Also noticed, although normally shooting in manual mode, somehow my "dial" had moved to shutter priority, and this whacked the ISO up to 2500.... hence not as sharp as would like it!! Oh well, learnt something else today.... "check the dial".... lol

Have a look at some of the others on FLICKR. My research tells me the first one of the fairywren with the spotted blue is a superb Blue wren male malting and losing its blue feathers for winter.

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE.

... just so appreciate all the wonderful comment and feedback from yesterdays Blip, you are all very kind thanks for the support.
