Swan in Sunlight

The weather was really gloomy, but still and mild so we took a slow walk along the Grand Union canal to do a bit of bird-watching, there was lots of bird activity which was great to see and we saw quite a variety, everything from a wren, to a red kite and sparrowhawk.
Right at the end of the walk the sun burst through for a minute or two and I managed to capture this male swan who was patrolling the water near the nest where the female was asleep on a clutch of eggs.
