Mono Monday...Earth

Tried thinking outside the square for something creative today but somehow after a rather busy Easter holiday, the brain was a bit sluggish.
Woke to drizzly rain that stayed around for a good part of the day.

I love my vegetable garden and am always trying to build the earth up with home made compost as well as compost from a green recycling centre in town. The plants sure respond. The summer garden is coming to an end but these curly Red Sail lettuce plants are doing well, able to pick the leaves off them now and use in salads. They look a tad bedraggled after the rain, but once the sun comes out again they will be up and away.

We had a lot of fun with Isaac and his parents over the past few days, the house seems rather quiet this afternoon. And have hardly spent any time with comments, hopefully will catch up now.
