To Miyajima!

Thanks to the kindnesses of the day before, I found my way to Miyajima fairly easily. Japan is such a friendly place and the signs in English are much appreciated by this anglophone.

By the time I got to my hotel I felt a wee bit hot and bothered but changed into my favourite t shirt, favourite skirt and favourite summer shoes and went out for a wee wander. I found wild deer, cherry blossoms galore and some gorgeous scenery. I've thrown a bunch of photos up on flickr...

This was my only night in a traditional Japanese ryokan (inn) and it was worth every penny.
