A sad breakfast on a very long bus. Usually Cruz del Sur food is alright, but the morning's sandwich filling tasted like out of date sauerkraut. Thankfully I was armed with granola bars and didn't go too hungry between the morning and our eventual arrival in Guayaquil at 7pm. The Ecuador/Peru border seemed much more legit than the one we crossed between Bolivia and Peru, with actual border police checking that you had been stamped into the country before you reboarded the bus.
