Reunion

So incredibly relieved to have a five day stretch off work; I definitely feel in need of a break. G and I went for a trek down the river to talk through some wedding planning, and then cracked on with research all afternoon. We made lots of decisions and bought lots of bits, and felt that we'd really made some headway.
I then spent a lovely evening in the pub with a couple of friends, and an old friend from College; I hadn't seen her for an incredible 17 years when she spent a year placement with us from her hometown in Boston, USA, and I haven't seen her since then. She was here for a holiday with her boyfriend, and we all had such a brilliant night! It was a much more drunken night than I'd been planning- closing time rolled round far too quickly, so we all stumbled back to ours for takeaway pizza, more beers and conversation. Before we knew it, the clock was reading 2.30am and we had to reluctantly turn in. Such a fantastic night.
