The reassurance of landscape and flowers

Another favourite walk today - through Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve, then along the lovely stream and ancient lane from Leighton Beck Bridge to Hazelslack Tower and a circuit back home. It was great to find the flowers I know so well from many years visiting this place - the Golden Saxifrage (pictured) and Marsh Marigolds along the stream side (the latter worryingly reduced in number). This is part of the great joy of returning to Silverdale.
