High-level riveting

Lots of low cloud this morning and by lunchtime we'd got fed up of waiting for it to burn off, so we headed north in search of sunshine and blue skies.  And there they were, north of Kirkstone Pass.

There was a lot of splashing about in these peaty pools on the ridge below Dove Crag.  Frogs riveting and spawning, even though some ice still remained on the water.  That and the songs of skylarks, you would think it is spring.
