Ermitage de Domanova

In the foothills of the Pyrenees, overshadowed by Le Canigou is the tiny hermitage of Domanova that has been restored and is looked over by one priest, Frere Gerard.  It has a beautiful chapel and Father Gerard welcomes travellers - as does his cat, Noisette.  Noisette was given to Father Gerard as a kitten by his doctor, who assured him that it was female, and it was only when he took him to the vet after a falling out with a scorpion (how came off worse) that he was confirmed as a boy.  The vet's advice was to change his doctor!
