Aachener Rathaus

While we were enjoying our coffee at Starbucks, I noticed the flower boxes in the window sills of the City Hall. The planters gave the otherwise grey centuries old building a festive look.
I love to be in Aachen. It is a beautiful city. One of the towers of the City Hall dates from the Carolingian period and has been part of the Charles the Great's palace.
