Weber River

The Weber River is only 125 miles long.

It originates in what are called the Uinta Mountains with many peaks between 3,300 and 4,123 meters.

It terminates 125 miles away in the Great Salt Lake.  Which is the remnants of an ancient inland sea called Lake Bonneville.  At its peak it covered almost 51,000 square kilometers.  Now the great salt lake covers 8,500 square km.

The weber river has some great fly fishing and it is a wonderful scenic backdrop for people who are fortunate to have been able to build their cabins close to it.

Of course in the big snow years, those same cabins are subject to flooding.

At this point in the river just two years ago, a few of the cabins nearby were flooded.

I guess you have to take the good with the bad.  :-)
