Grey Butcher Bird

Each Morning and Evening we are visited by a few of these Grey Butcher Birds. They are looking for food, and the dog kibbles are just small enough for them.

In the morning their morning song is a warning they are hungry and if there is no food outside, they will hop through the doggy door and come inside, looking for food. This action causes massive problems. Dogs going every which way and a little Butcher bird flying through the house. 

These little birds are found through out Australia, and my late father had befriended one on the farm. That one would come down and sit on the arm rest on the chair in which my Dad was sitting and then eat the little treats that my Dad had collected. 

There are three or four which visit us each day, but the dogs are not their best friends.
