Easy Like Sunday Morning

All Sunday mornings should be this easy!!

First stop our favourite cafe in Leederville just outside the city for elevenses. Another short drive takes us through the Botanic Gardens and down to the suburb of Mosman Park on the Swan River. We choose a spot overlooking the bay where there’s a host of other people having it ‘easy like Sunday morning’ too.

There was a yacht race, people water skiing, motor boating, fishing, having family picnics, paddling, swimming and in the big boat in the foreground of this pic there was a very loud party.

We have a leisurely picnic (made for us by MollyMay, The Queen of Picnics) followed by a game of boules on a shady patch of grass overlooking the river. It was Australia v England. A very close result, 21-20 to the Aussies. We’ve invited them over to England for a return match where they’re sure to get thrashed (if only because their accuracy will be seriously compromised by their shivering!!)

The winners treat us to ice creams in a cafe just outside Fremantle before we wend our weary way home.
