Sunrise watch

I joined a group of about 60 people this morning at the bridge in Ballineen to watch and pray as the sun rose for Easter morning. We (Rev Stella of the Church of Ireland and I) lit a fire and sprinkled water and listened as people read and reflected.
The sunrise remained hidden behind the fog that sat over the Bandon river but we could sense the emerging light.
We were treated to a welcome cuppa afterwards in the local church hall.
