All hail the Messiah

My friends arrived from Christchurch yesterday so today (on what turned out to be another glorious Southern Skies Day) we headed out to all my haunts.
We started off in Riverton and I took them round to Taramea Bay. We had a walk along the Back beach and then headed back towards Riverton itself. These young Shags were all sat on the rocks and  they allowed me to walk right up to them to take this shot (you will find more here )

We then went for lunch at the Pavillion in Colac Bay, followed by a walk on the beach at Monkey Island and a look out to sea at Gemstone beach. 
Back home for a customary sunday afternoon snooze before stew and dumplings for tea and hopefully a trip to Bluecliffs for a sunset
