Saw some flying of another kind today at the Loton Park Hill Climb Members' Practice Weekend.  Lots of testosterone, wheel spins, engine backfires, high octane fuel odours and some great motors being put through their paces.  I liked this 1937 Triumph Vitesse which traversed the course at a somewhat more sedate pace than others!

We picnicked in the sunshine and finished the day with ice creams.  The Loton Park Estate, Shropshire is the ancestral home of the Leighton Family.  The 400 acres of parkland includes one of the two privately owned deer parks to remain in Shropshire;  one of the current Baronet’s passion. It’s also prominent in motorsport as the location of the annual British Hill Climb Championship. The Village is Alberbury and the Church of St. Michael and All Angels was delightful, beautifully cared for, ready for Easter and full of Spring flowers.

Off to bed now perchance to dream of the beautifully kept and pretty village but think it's more likely to be  full of fast cars, tight corners and screeching tyres!!
