The one that got away

Actually it would be more accurate to say the five or six who got away. I was visiting a local farm today - suppliers of the best organic longhorn beef you could wish for - to do some product photography, but I'd been tipped off about the hares and spent a pleasant, but fruitless, hour or so first attempting to get a decent picture, and crawling about on my stomach, hiding behind water tanks, trees, but to no avail. I would say that a manual focus 300 mm lens isn't the best choice for such very fast moving and wary subjects.
