Steamed up

A return day with dad to the Great Central Railway at Loughborough. Being Easter the Quorn station was hosting a traction and static steam rally including this organ which had a particularly excellent rendition of Pirates of the Caribbean!

A shame the weather was a little on the grey side with drizzle at times but all the more atmospheric. The 40s styling of Quorn and its NAAFI with a warming coal fire (ok there are lots all along the stations) was especially good.

Finished the day bumping into K on our return trip to the main station which was a great way to wrap up. The diesels are growing on me.
