I promised you an Orc ...

... and here he is.

Over the past couple of days cars have been arriving in a field near us with plans to re-enact an Orc battle.

Jane and I cycled over to investigate yesterday and were told that a battle was scheduled for today.  We seem to have missed the battle so we wandered onto the site which brought back memories of Glastonbury without music but with Orcs.  The mud was definitely the same and there were a lot of rather forlorn people in strange dress wandering around.

Jane was the only one with wellies so she went off in search of GOD.  GOD turned out to be the Games Operation Desk .  We were asking permission to take photos which they very reluctantly conceded.

There didn't seem to be much going on though until we spotted this group bearing down on us.  

The best battle will apparently be on Monday so we may go back (with wellies but without costume!)
