horns of wilmington's cow

A day of fluctuation....

Nice early ride to the fishmonger and butcher for dinner provisions for the next couple of nights, which was always going to be followed by taking the car to the tyre place to see if a slow puncture could be repaired, or have a new tyre whacked on if not. Except they took the tyre off and there are two almighty cracks in the alloy inside it. Plans for next week taking a hit (I was borrowing George's car to go north) as we worked out how we could get that repaired. Mel's going to have to resort to the bus(es) for work, adding a daft amount of time onto the commute, and I'll leave George with his car so that he can take the wheel (which I'll take off on Monday) to a repair place to get welded (which is cheaper than replacing the wheel). And so I've got to hire a car again. And try to find someone with a bike bag so I can take a bike up with me on the back seat (George's car had roof bars that I could have put a bike carrier on).

All that done, finally, and there was time for some stuff in the garden, and a little loop walk to Porty (where this chap was spotted, petted and posed). George down for his dinner tonight (one of 'my' dishes of Korean pork belly bossam), and lots of other stuff still to do.

Aaaaaand relax.
