Three Fingers
Took Rachel back to Kinsale and decided to go in search of some archaeology on the way back. this is 'Gallauns ( Three Fingers)' in the Townland of Gurranes near Castletownsend. It's a stone row and originally it had five stones but two have fallen. They are really impressive, the tallest stone being 4.3m high. They are located on the slope of a hill with the most amazing views.
The other site I visited was Knockdrum Cashel, a stone ringfort, this was another 'wow moment' as the location was amazing with views out along the coast.
Back to Skibbereen for an evening of poetry, music and singing.
