Sleep time
Caught these two having a nap. The ewes are very relaxed about me walking through them with a dog now and barely move on my way round. Had a couple of new lambs this morning and one looking like she might produce today at some stage. This lamb was born on the same day as Badger. She is a first time lamber and doing a great job with her lamb. She is one of our blackfaced x cheviot ewes and the father of the lamb was a Suffolk.
Cows seem settled today one is looking closer to calving but who knows when she will calve!! Its been dreich all morning and I thought the ewes would be lambing under the cover of the mist but they all seem to be holding on. Maybe they are waiting on the grass coming. The sun has come out this afternoon and it certainly seems to be warmer so fingers crossed the grass will get a grow on.
10c 7.4 mph N breeze. Heavy misty drizzle, sun breaking through in the afternoon.
