Rare visitors

Yes, house sparrows. It is literally months since I have seen any in the garden, and they used to be so common. They only seem to put in a brief appearance nowadays at this time of year - nesting season. The same is true of starlings.

I shot this with the Nikon V3 using WiFi to trigger the shutter, via an Android app. The Nikon WiFi software is abysmal - all I can do is fire the shutter (and optionally upload a JPEG, which really does nothing for me except delay when I can take another photo). And it overrides the camera settings to the extent that it goes into program mode, regardless of what the camera settings are! Rant about this coming on my own web site ...
