Break
I'm ready for a break from school. We got our progress reports today. When I saw that my Turkish teacher gave me a 4/5 (which means usually, but not always) from using the language of instruction well, I laughed for 5 minutes straight. How can I possibly not use Turkish well? It's not like I speak English or French during the lessons. This just proves how some teachers grade us unfairly according to the image they have of us. Not all teachers are like that though, most of them know their students very well.
This photo is of Idilsu hiding behind a menu. We went out with Ceren after school and I drew patterns on the blackboard next to us. I really put a lot of effort into my masterpiece but the waiters probably erased it right after we left. Reminder to self: bring Batu here, their gluten-free "islak kek" is amazing.
SPRING IS HERE. It's here. My birthday is near. But so is summer. I don't like summer, you get all sweaty and sleepy. The heat is just really tiring, I hate it. Isn't it ironic how I've applied to a summer school in California? Speaking about summer schools, my notification date is the 28th of this month. That's so far away. I need to buy plane tickets or apply for other schools or just plan out everything else if I don't get accepted.
Spring is a beautiful time. It's not too cold and not too hot. It's always rainy. I love it nearly as much as I love winter. The only bad part about spring is the dread that comes with knowing summer is next.
"The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring." Bernard Williams
