Aussie osprey

We go for a walk round the Marina near to G&M’s home and to our surprise and delight the Osprey is home.  This time I have my camera with me.

It’s hard to convey just what a big deal this is to someone from the UK - especially someone who lives slap bang in the middle of the country - far away from lochs and bays and coasts.

The osprey is watching me, but apart from that, seems completely oblivious to the people wandering around the nesting site - kids are fishing off the jetty, boats are pottering back into their moorings and a few people drive up, park, get out, look up and then drive off again.
