Service of Tenebrae/Darkness

My wife and I were among several readers for the service tonight.  I took a color shot, but the B&W seemed fitting for the nature of the service and the Biblical events of the day.  I learned tonight the service of tenebrae is based on a 12th century worship service.developed as an extended meditation on the "Passion" of Christ.  The hanging cross is draped in black until Sunday, and the lights were progressively dimmed as the service continued.
